Dr Beth Walters
I am quite hopeful about new psychiatric treatments. I do vagal nerve stimulation and I look forward to the FDA’s approval of transcranial magnetic stimulation as early as 2007. This treatment may someday replace ECT/ “Shock Therapy” by helping people with severe depression without seizures or memory loss. I can prescribe buprenorphine to opiate addicts but only if they are in ongoing addiction treatment and if they are serious about recovery. My personal background is rural; my values are small town. I believe in honesty, kindness and hard work. I'm a lucky person, because I love what I do. |
