Dr. Schaettle was a nurse at Meriter Hospital when she met Regent Mental Health Group senior member Dr. Harry Kniaz over 20 years ago. Eventually she became the Nurse Manager of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Unit at Meriter Hospital. After this experience in administration she worked at Dean Foundation as a Research Coordinator doing leading research in psychiatry. After attending medical school at the University of Wisconsin, she then left the state to do an additional two years of sub-specialty fellowship training at the University of Iowa in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, where she served as Chief Resident. Sadly, it was on the occasion of the death of her old friend Dr. Kniaz in August of 2007 that she joined the team at the Regent Mental Health Group.
